Rachel Carson RAFTS

Dear Ms. Carson,
Hello Rachel Carson, my name is Peter Back, I am one of the Monarch butterfly insect who was able to survive due to your amazingly written book that was arguing against human’s inventions that were destroying our beautiful environment.  I know you are probably not going to be able to read my letter but I just wanted to thank you so much.
Your book, Silent spring was well written because of various reasons that allowed all kind of insects to live up to this point.  I am not sure if other insects appreciate your work, but our monarch butterfly insects appreciate you so much with what you have done for our living during migrations.
First of all, your book was really good because it was very easy to understand for everyone even for the people who does not have any kind of science knowledge.  For example, you explained well when human’s pesticides that were spraying around our environment killed many of our population of our insects but humans don’t even know what they have done.
Secondly, your book did not only depend on one side to criticize, which means that you were being neutral.  That was very great idea to do because there are a lot of people who only agrees to one side.  However, by your writing, it actually made all readers to not only to think about other side of what they were actually thinking but also to understand both side of what they were arguing about it.
Lastly, the book was well related to the topic of it.  As you described about the American town in the chapter one, where a lot of birds started to die than you said it happened to many towns and that made people to think deep and tries to prevent the problems.
As you can see me in the picture, I have grown up and become as one of the beautiful monarch butterfly.  Finally humans seem to understand the life of environment and insects and started to respect. If you didn’t write the book, I might not be in the earth now; also our society would be all destroyed. As leader of monarch butterfly, I want to thank you again about what you have done.

A Monarch Butterfly
Sincerely
